New Frontiers in Writing brings writers of every genre and experience level together with industry VIPs for a day of inspiration, education, and connection.

Dive into both the craft and business of writing through a full schedule of engaging workshops and sessions designed to inform and motivate.

On Friday, attendees can browse the Grown-Up Book Fair, and Saturday features a full day of classes created to inspire writers and authors at every stage of their journey.

After an incredible inaugural event in 2025, Texas High Plains Writers is thrilled to continue the tradition of bringing nationally recognized speakers, fresh ideas, and meaningful connections to the Texas Panhandle.

Join us in Amarillo for a one-day Mini-Con designed to energize your creativity and sharpen your craft. Whether you’re drafting your first novel, polishing a manuscript, or looking to take your publishing journey to the next level, this conference delivers a full day of inspiring speakers, practical panels, and opportunities to learn from writers who’ve been where you are.

Come for the knowledge. Stay for the community. Leave ready to write.

There’s nothing quite like networking face-to-face at a writing conference. In-person conversations create real connections—whether you’re chatting between sessions, sharing ideas over lunch, or meeting someone who understands your writing journey. It’s a chance to exchange encouragement, discover opportunities, and build friendships that can support your creative goals long after the conference ends.
